COOLING WATER TREATMENTS

Our water treatment chemicals for industrial cooling systems address the common problems of corrosion, scaling, fouling and microbial contamination that can affect the safety, performance and regulatory compliance of cooling systems.

It is essential that the correct water conditions are maintained in systems at all times. By carefully selecting products which are compatible with water quality and system metallurgy, this can be achieved.

We can also offer products which meet VDI 2035 standards. VDI theory is based on low conductivity, low dissolved oxygen and controlled pH.

All our products are tried and tested formulations. We offer a range of concentrated products which means lower dose rates, less plastic waste and a potential saving on transport. We also offer non-chemical options.

SOFT/SOFTENED WATERS

CQ3012 –
Silicate based corrosion inhibitor

CQ3012 is specifically formulated for use in base exchanged softened water or waters with low natural hardness. It is compatible with most water treatment chemicals and is halogen resistant.

The product should be dosed proportional to the system make up to ensure a continuous reserve within the system water. It should be dosed to maintain a phosphonate reserve of 5ppm in the system. A dose rate of 100ml product per m3 water can be expected to achieve this level.

CQ3015 –
Corrosion and scale inhibitor with PTSA tracer

is specifically formulated for use in base exchanged softened water or waters with low natural hardness. It is compatible with most water treatment chemicals and is halogen resistant.

The product contains a PTSA tracer. Normal dosage is usually in the range of 120ppm of product in the system. This will provide 62 ppb of PTSA. We recommend the product is controlled to provide 60-70 ppb PTSA.

CQ3030 Molybdate phosphonate corrosion inhibitor

CQ3030 is specifically formulated for use in base exchange softened water or waters with low natural hardness. It contains additional scale inhibition properties and is compatible with all other chemicals commonly used in water treatment. CQ3030 is halogen resistant.

CQ3030 should be dosed proportional to the system make up to ensure a continuous reserve within the system water. A dose rate of 100ppm will yield 10ppm of MoO4 in the system.

LOW TO MEDIUM HARDNESS WATERS

CQ3020
Zinc phosphonate corrosion inhibitor

CQ3020 is specifically formulated for use in corrosive waters with low to medium natural hardness. Its scale inhibitor properties enable this product to maintain up to 1,000ppm of hardness in solution depending on the Langelier Saturation Index (LSI) of the system water.

CQ3020 should be dosed proportional to the system make up to ensure a continuous reserve within the system water.

HARD WATER

CQ3100
Phosphonate scale and corrosion inhibitor

CQ3100 is an all organic based treatment containing advanced scale and corrosion inhibitors with dispersants for industrial recirculating cooling water systems. It is STABLE at elevated temperatures throughout a wide pH range. It is halogen stable. This product is a very effective treatment for modern cooling water systems operating with high calcium and alkalinity levels. Effective at Langelier Saturation Index up to +3.0

CQ3100 should be dosed proportional to the system make up to ensure a continuous reserve within the system water. Normal dose 100ppm to achieve a reserve of 10ppm of phosphonate in the system.
