Our range of steam boiler water chemicals are manufactured to prevent scale and corrosion formation and to keep the boiler operating at optimum levels.

CQ2010 is a liquid sulphite based oxygen scavenger for the treatment of boiler feedwater, ensuring rapid removal of dissolved oxygen. Will prevent pitting corrosion of heat exchange surfaces. Can be used in boiler plant up to a pressure of 46 bar.

All components are FDA approved for use in boiler plant where the steam contacts food. Dose well below water line into hotwell or directly into hot feed line. Feed temperature preferred at 70 Deg C min. Dose 18ml/m3 per ppm O2 in feedwater. Control 30-100ppm in the feedwater.

CQ2116 is a liquid product based on carbohydrazide

CQ2116 is an organic corrosion inhibitor used for scavenging oxygen and passivating metal surfaces. The product does not contribute to dissolved solids and adds minimal ammonia to the boiler system.

Dose at 23ppm product per ppm oxygen. The residual range for CQ20116 should be controlled

between 0.8 and 1.2 ppm as product.

CQ2210 is a mildly alkaline blended liquid treatment based on organic tannins.

It should be used in conjunction with other supplemental Chemiteq treatments to give a balanced treatment programme.

Particularly suitable for plant where the feed temperature is low. CQ2210 controls corrosion by the dual mechanism of oxygen scavenging and the formation of a corrosion resistant iron-tannate film.

Can be used in medium pressure hot water (MPHW) systems and steam raising plant.

Mildly alkaline. Test for 120 to 160 ppm tannin.



47% sodium hydroxide. Dose to hotwell to achieve approx 300 – 600 ppm P alk in boiler.


32% sodium hydroxide. Dose to hotwell to achieve approx 300 – 600ppm P alk in boiler.


25% sodium hydroxide. Dose to hotwell to achieve approx 300 – 600ppm P alk in boiler



CQ2310 is a multipurpose boiler feedwater treatment. For the treatment of softened feedwaters. Contains catalysed sulphite oxygen scavenger, sludge conditioner, phosphate and dispersant. Will prevent pitting corrosion of heat exchange surfaces and condition residual hardness preventing the deposition of scale. Dose well under water line of hotwell to preserve oxygen scavenger. pH circa 13. Dose to give 30 to 70 ppm sulphite and 30 to 80 ppm Ortho PO4 in the boiler. FDA approved raw materials.


CQ2311 is a liquid “one shot” boiler water treatment developed for use when soft make-up water is in use. It is a blend of oxygen scavenger and polymers. CQ2311 is dosed to ensure the removal of oxygen from the boiler water and to provide polymer to precipitate any hardness in the feed water as a mobile sludge that can be removed from the boiler during the normal blowdown operation. Dose well under water line of hotwell. Neutral pH Dose to give 30 to 70 ppm sulphite and 30 to 80 ppm Ortho PO4 in the boiler.



CQ6020 is concentrated dispersant in liquid form containing polymeric dispersants and sequestering agents for flushing systems contaminated with scale and iron oxide sludges. It is effective against a wide range of scalants such as calcium and magnesium hardness, iron oxide and silica. CQ6020 will gradually disperse old deposits and may be used as part of a ‘clean up’ programme. FDA approved raw materials. Can be used as on line treatment.


CQ2420 is a liquid phosphate boiler water treatment blended with sludge conditioners. This formulation will prevent scale formation and will also fluidise boiler sludge deposits to maintain clean heat transfer surfaces and facilitate the removal of sludge by blowdown. BS.2486: 1978 recommends the addition of phosphate, even when the boiler plant is supplied by soft water, to prevent scaling resulting from small amounts of hardness passing through the softening plant. Dose 4ml/m3 per ppm PO4, dependent of hardness. Maintain 30 to 80

ppm Ortho PO4 in the boiler. FDA approved raw materials.



Cyclohexylamine/Morpholine. Measure and maintain a condensate pH of 8.0 – 8.5.

CQ6040 is a liquid cleaning formulation for cation exchange resins in the sodium cycle, as used in base exchange water softeners. CQ6040 will remove organic and inorganic foulants from the resin bed. Continuous use will prolong resin life and maintain softener performance.

To maintain softener efficiency, CQ6040 should be added to the brine tank at a rate of 1% of the resin volume e.g. a softener containing 60 litres of resin would require 0.6 litres of CQ6040 to be added to the brine for each clean.
